A Magical Surprise Proposal in Venice: From San Giorgio Island to Punta della Dogana
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautifully intimate surprise marriage proposal in Venice. This one was slightly shorter than usual , allowing us to capture every moment in the most exquisite golden hour light.
We began our journey on the tranquil San Giorgio Island, an ideal location carefully chosen by the client. He specifically requested the best place where to propose in Venice offering stunning views of Venice, away from the usual tourist bustle.
The scene was perfect—quiet, scenic, and deeply romantic. As he got down on one knee, the soft light cast a magical glow, illuminating their joyful, emotional “yes” moment.
Following the heartfelt proposal, a quick phone call had a water taxi arriving within minutes. As we cruised toward the setting sun provided a breathtaking light, making their first moments as an engaged couple even more special.
Upon arriving at Punta della Dogana, we continued our couple photoshoot, capturing romantic images with the iconic location of the proposal beautifully visible in the background.
The final part of the session took place atop the Accademia Bridge, where the fading daylight wrapped Venice in gentle warmth, adding a perfect conclusion to this unforgettable day.
