The Perfect Moment on San Giorgio Maggiore
We chose San Giorgio Maggiore for the proposal—one of the most scenic and surprisingly peaceful locations in Venice.
From here, the view opens onto the lagoon with Venice unfolding in the background. As the sun began to set, the light turned golden, reflecting off the water and creating a soft, cinematic atmosphere.
They arrived casually, enjoying the view, unaware of what was about to happen.
Within seconds, everything changed.
The proposal unfolded naturally, framed by one of the most iconic views in the city. The emotion, the surprise, the joy—it all felt amplified by the setting.
A City at Its Most Beautiful
That evening, Venice truly gave its best.
With the Redentore celebrations approaching, there was a unique energy in the air—subtle but present. Yet on San Giorgio, everything remained calm and intimate, allowing the moment to stay personal and uninterrupted.
It’s a rare balance that only happens on special days.
Crossing the Lagoon
After the “yes,” we continued the experience with a private water taxi, crossing the lagoon as the light softened into evening.
We reached Punta della Dogana, where Venice feels both grand and grounded at the same time.
From there, we began a relaxed walk through Dorsoduro—one of the most elegant and authentic areas of the city.
From Excitement to Calm
The transition from the proposal to the walk is always one of my favorite parts.
The initial excitement slowly settles into something more intimate. Smiles become softer, movements more relaxed, and the connection between the couple becomes even more visible.
Dorsoduro, with its quiet streets and refined atmosphere, offers the perfect setting for this shift.
